We so appreciated every little detail you and your staff did to make our wedding reception as effortless and worry free as possible. Our guests were blown away by the decor, ambiance and delicious, plentiful buffet.
With your talents, ambition and ability to select and maintain good staff, I don't need to wish you luck, but I do wish you continued success.
Best regards,
Elaine Pitts

My wife and I moved from the D.C. area to Colorado in 2005. Before that time, I had worked as a lawyer in the District and traveled to Hagerstown frequently for business. My wife's family is from Hagerstown. We travel back to Washington County several times a year and enjoy the privacy of a hotel (long family related story not included). This past Christmas/ New Year, we traveled back to Hagerstown for a ten day visit. Ten days is a LONG time to stay in any hotel, and I did quite a bit of research on where to stay. Much to my surprise, the Clarion had allegedly been remodeled and was the subject of rave of reviews on Trip Advisor. I decided to take a chance and make the reservation. It was a fantastic decision.
For anyone who stayed in this hotel prior to 2009, the change the ownership from "down-under" has made is nothing less than extraordinary. The multi-million dollar remodel of the hotel is nothing short of outstanding. The mineral pool is spotless and refreshing to swim in. The entire pool area has been upgraded with fish ponds and clean new tile and landscaping. Overall, the pool area was that of a 4-5 star resort. The rooms had also been completely redone with new fixtures, bathroom and lighting. The wireless at the hotel was also fast and never an issue with my iMac.
On the night we checked in, we arrived late from DCA due to flight delays. I joked with my wife that previous reviews on Trip Advisor has reported the staff actually waiting for reserved guests at the front of the hotel. I did call the hotel after we landed and informed them we would be arriving after midnight. Sure enough, when we arrived at the sally port in front of the hotel, the night staff was waiting and actually addressed us by name and stated they were glad we had finally arrived. It was one of those moments an international traveler expects a punch line, or to be fleeced. What it was, was genuine hospitality.
A couple of tidbits of advice. First, take advantage of the hot breakfast every morning. Milo's cafe offers a great biscuits and gravy meal, as well as eggs, fresh fruit, cereal and a variety of fruit juices to choose from. They also offer free ice tea and mineral water all day to hotel guests by the pool. Second, make a trip over to Barefoot Bernie's- the onsite Restaurant connected to the hotel. Their crab-cakes are delicious and the menu is surprisingly affordable. Definitely a must stop place.
Overall, I would rate this the top hotel to stay in the Hagerstown area. It is centrally located and by far the best hotel in town. I am a frequent business traveler and have an extremely high level of expectations for a place to stay away from the confines of home, I can recommend this hotel without question. You simply will not be disappointed. Feel free to contact me at devauxlaw@msn.com if you have any questions about this review.

On behalf of the 2009 Maryland State Convention Committee, I would like to thank you and your staff for the professional, efficient, courteous service you provided us during the week of June 18-21, 2009.
Our final registration count was 804 attendees! As you now, an event of the size requires much planning and attention to detail. I personally appreciate the time and effort you put into helping us plan every minute of this event, down to the color of the over-cloth on the banquet tables!
We received many positive comments from our attendees who were guests of the hotel. They were very pleased with the many improvements to the property since our last conference two years ago.
This convention was a positive experience for our whole committee and we thank you and your staff for helping to make it happen.
Please thank Cindy, David and their on-site staff. They were available at all times and the room set-ups and timing of break down and re-set were flawless.
The Friday Committee Lunch, Friday night pasta buffet, Saturday BBQ and Saturday night banquet were excellent! It was obvious that the chef took a personal interest in the preparation and presentation of each meal. We received many favorable comments from our attendees.
Please pass along our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.
Sincerely,
John H. Bagley

Your Brand Performance Consultant (BPC) shared some very exciting news with me about your property. Your property's Likelihood to Recommend (LTR) score as compiled From the Guest Insight System survey has had one of the greatest year-over-year increases in your brand. Congratulations!
Going above and beyond to serve your guests is key to your property's success and our success as a hotel franchisor. The score improvement in the key metric of guest satisfaction is a testament to you and your staff. Research has shown that LTR ratings are driven largely by room condition and staff service and we thank you for your extraordinary commitment to improving these two key elements of the guest and service experience at you property.
Congratulations again, on moving the needle on guest satisfaction. Keep up the outstanding work and know that your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Warm Regards,

Dear Sir or Madam:
Prior to the JFK-50 this year, as well as many previous years, a large
group of runners from Reston, Virginia stay at your hotel. I am one
of those Reston Runners and I wanted to thank you for the kindness
that was extended to me this year.
After checking in and preparing myself for the 50 mile run the next
day, I realized I forgot my towels for the post run shower at
Williamsport High School. It was too late to buy any towels and I
could not imagine driving home without the ability to warm up in a
shower after running fifty miles. I spoke with the person at the front
desk and asked if I could borrow tow towels if I promised to wash them
and send them back when I returned home. Although I can not recall
his name he was so gracious and gave me permission to borrow the
towels. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it and I am now
returning the towels. Thank you so much.
Also I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the stay this year.
The hotel has undergone substantial renovations and is absolutely
beautiful. Moreover, the breakfast that was available to all of us
in the very early morning hours on Saturday was spectacular and
greatly appreciated. Thanks to all at your hotel for making our stay
such an enjoyable one.
See you same time next year.
Very truly yours,
Donna Miller Rostant

Dear Lata,
I just wanted to express the appreciation of all the Reston Runners,
as well as Hiroko and I, for the enjoyable experience that we all had
at your hotel on Friday night and Saturday morning
(21-22 November 2008), before the JFK 50-mile Ultra-marathon Race.
We all appreciated the extra effort that you and your staff went to
in order to make our stay and breakfast a pleasurable and memorable
experience.
We hope that you will continue this degree of service and
accommodations in the future. The extra trouble that you took to
provide a healthy snack bag was appreciated as well.
Thanks again for an enjoyable stay at your hotel.
Yours truly,
Norman J. Hunt, Jr.

Dear Lata and Staff:
Thank you so much for your extraordinary service and hospitality during our recent event held
at your hotel.
From the initial estimate process thru until the end of our afternoon ther, you and your
staff went out of your way to make sure I never had to worry about a single detail.
Everyone commented on how smoothly the day went, and they especially loved the
surroundings (the Buddha bar and pool area).
We will undoubtedly look to you to host our next event as we are sure it will go as
effortlessly as this one did.
Thanks again!
